A disgruntled employee wanted to me to go away for a long time and attempted to set me up! I was facing federal felony charges of possession with intent to distribute and illegal possession of firearms by a felon. Mr. Orr got the firearms charge dismissed (because I am not a felon) and the possession with intent to distribute whittled down to a minor possession charge, one year probation, which I served successfully! 
I was told by everyone I would NEVER win against the Federal government- none of those people ever met Mr. Stephen Orr.

When you think about the best possible legal representation, you want someone with experience, someone who not only knows the law but also understands the cultural nuances of the city and county where your case will be disposed. You want the guy everybody loves at the courthouse. You want they guy who shoots you straight and doesn't fluff things. Furthermore, you need unbiased, cool headed information, and Steve gives you that. If you're reading this profile because you're facing serious, felony charges, you can stop reading.. Here are a few tips for working with steve. 
1. Shut up and listen, don't talk.

Steve is not going to be your therapist, he's not there to make things happy and bright. "I can't make any more sunshine" However, he does care, you can see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. Steve wants you to have the best possible outcome.
I have worked with him for 3 years on a felony case, facing 20 years. He kicked the DA's ass, poked holes through the entire case and dang near got it dismissed. We took a plea to avoid the risk of a trial. I am on misdemeanor probation and I am forever grateful to Steve. The state of Texas took my life and put it on a string in front of me. Steve Orr cut the string, gave me life back and fought for me until the very end.

Stephen did an awesome job on my case. I was charged with two 1st degree felonies. One was dismissed and the other I got deferred. 
He bonded me out of jail with in three months, and closed my case a year and seven months later. 
I dont know what I and my family would have done without steve!!

I had my doubts about lawyers but Mr. Orr changed that for me. I was very surprised to receive a call back timely. Mr. Orr made me feel I was very important, the issue he was willing to take on was serious and needed immediate attention. He did just that, always kept me updated and very responsive. His no-nonsense approach in giving legal advice and looking out for his client is superb. We could not have gone through a difficult time if it has not been for a great legal mind and super lawyer. Mr Orr represented me in an criminal appeal case and he won the case and was supportive of me all along. 
He also represented me in 2 different civil cases by jury and won both of them. 
He is one of the smartest person I ever met in my life and believe me I have met a lots of smart people in my life.

I was referred to Mr. Orr by a friend to handle a sexual assault allegation. Mr. Orr has thoroughly investigated the matter, and is working tactfully to provide the prosecutor all evidence and keep me from having to spend money on a jury defense. The accusing individual also formally complained to my university, though was never a student. Mr. Orr has worked with me on that, too. The school has since dropped the complaint, even under their low "preponderance of evidence" standard. Mr. Orr is a straight talker. He has provided clear instructions for me, and an honest professionally-informed opinion on the case. His service has been a bargain and a blessing, and I look forward to recommending him for criminal defense if the chance ever occurs.

The lifelong hardships placed on someone convicted of a felony are severe and greatly impact a person's ability to earn a decent living or secure a place to live. The thought of this being my daughter's fate was heartbreaking. 
I am so thankful to Mr. Orr for taking our case. My daughter was charged with a 1st degree state felony and Mr. Orr was able to get the charge reduced to a class A Misdemeanor. His knowledge of the system is extensive so if you take his advise and do things the way he tells you to do them, he can save you from a life of endless struggles.

Steve is an amazing lawyer. I went through three other lawyers, hiring and firing until I found out about Steve. His results speak for themselves. In my case specifically, I had a third degree felony, third- Driving While Intoxicated charge in Williamson County under the infamous Judge Anderson, and Steve got me TIME SERVED. That is the best outcome I could have expected. Every other lawyer told me I'd be lucky to get five years in prison. Steve did an amazing job. He is the nicest, most trust worthy lawyer I've ever met. He never bullshitted me, and he worked his ass off for me. He worked harder than he needed too. Something I've never seen a lawyer do. If I ever, ever need legal help again I will not hesitate to hire Steve.

Oh my I don't know where to start I was facing 20 years in prison and steve told me the whole way thru trust me believe in me and I had heard how good he was so I did. I put my life in steve orr hands and did what he said to do and I am very pleased with the way he treated my case not to say he was very kind and caring I could tell he has a heart and that's a plus. He did a awesome job and I only got 48 months I believe in my heart that I almost would of gotten probation but with my past criminal history it didn't help me. All I can say is if your fighting for your life and need a good federal attorney hire this man and his office is so professional tylia is wonderful and always returned calls and treats you like family.
